Early frost farm's apiary is about to get much bigger. We ordered four queens to split our, over wintered, bee hive. The queens were delivered to the Embarrass Post office today and were greeted with a royal reception. I opened the box in the lobby to show off the new queens. They looked pretty good, all things considered.

They were introduced to the four hives I set up the night before. I will check on them each day to monitor the progress of the bees releasing the queen from her cage. If all goes well, in 10 to 14 days, each of the queens should have laid eggs and the resident bees should be tending to her new progeny. Stay tuned for more updates.
